Pedestrianization of Mount-Royal Avenue

By pedestrianizing a section of Mount-Royal Avenue every summer since 2019, the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough intends to create a friendly, safe, and universally accessible urban living space. This major commercial artery enjoys very high traffic, so the stakes were high regarding mobility, the preservation of economic activity, and social acceptability.

Intervia was therefore mandated to design and manage the project's impacts. Through a design that combined accessibility, safety, and adapted facilities, we worked with the Borough to develop a unique concept for active clients.
