Join Intervia and become a key asset to our team. This position offers a dual role in the field of construction site signage: either as an inspector working with project owners or as a signage supervisor supporting various construction contractors operating on the road network.
This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour work week, primarily during nighttime hours. Due to the nature of road construction, work schedules vary based on client needs and authorized work windows. As such, Intervia is looking for a candidate with flexible availability, 7 days a week, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 AM the following day, depending on the day of the week.
This is a permanent position eligible for overtime pay. The job also offers significant flexibility for taking time off during the winter season.
Key Responsibilities
- Review upcoming work and planned disruptions (work zone requests, permits, signage plans, detour plans, work plans, stakeholder contacts, etc.)
- Coordinate with the daytime inspector to identify key issues to monitor
- Establish contact with the civil works inspector and the contractor’s signage supervisor
- Authorize lane closures and re-openings
- Manage real-time calls to the network operations center (CIGC, CDT, TMCP, etc.)
- Inspect signage installations
- Take photos and videos of any deficiencies or observed situations
- Manage work zone access requests
- Supervise site access procedures
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements
- Record observations and interactions with contractors in a daily report
- Reconcile quantities related to signage with the contractor's signage supervisor and record in the daily report
- Flag any items for follow-up during the day shift inspector’s report
Training Requirements
