Construction Site Inspector – Traffic Signage Lead

This position offers a dual role within the field of work‑zone signage: acting either as a Site Inspector supporting owners, or as a Traffic Signage Lead supporting various construction contractors working on the road network.
The position includes a baseline schedule of 40 hours per week, primarily at night.
The nature of roadwork operations requires schedule variations depending on client needs and authorized lane‑closure windows. As such, Intervia is looking for a candidate with flexible availability, 7 days a week from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. the following morning, depending on the day.
This is a permanent position eligible for overtime pay. Employment conditions also include significant flexibility regarding vacation during the winter season.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing planned closures and interventions (closure requests, permits, traffic control plans, detour plans, work plans, stakeholder contacts, etc.);
- Coordinating with the daytime inspector to identify issues requiring monitoring;
- Communicating with the civil‑works inspector and the contractor’s signage lead;
- Authorizing lane closures/openings;
- Managing real‑time calls with the network operator (CIGC, CDT, TMCP, etc.);
- Inspecting work‑zone signage;
- Taking photos and videos of deficiencies or observed situations;
- Managing insertion requests;
- Supervising work‑site access procedures;
- Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements;
- Recording observations and interactions with the contractor in a daily report;
- Reconciling quantities related to work‑zone signage with the contractor’s signage lead and recording them in the daily report;
- Flagging to the daytime inspector any issues requiring follow‑up. Skills and Abilities
