Design of the Alternate East Drop-off 0041rea at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport

To meet the needs of its client, the Intervia team had to identify the constraints and issues relating to the existing situation and the project. In so doing, our engineers proposed various successive infrastructure solutions to adapt to the emerging constraints brought about by the other stakeholders (architects, lighting engineers, telecom experts, etc.) as the project progressed. The selected infrastructure plan was then sent to a civil engineering firm to produce construction plans that were then sent to the contractor.

Adaptability and coordination: the keywords for projects with multiple constraints

This mandate, which had a very tight deadline, required good collaboration between our team and ADM to find the optimal infrastructure plans that met both the client's needs and the identified constraints. It also required a great deal of coordination with all project stakeholders for the plans to take into account factors that fell outside the framework of pure mobility but were essential enough to ensure overall coherence between the mitigation measures to be put in place and existing or future infrastructure.
