Design of the Alternate East Drop-off 0041rea at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport
Study process
To meet ADM’s needs, Intervia’s team began by identifying key constraints and issues related to both the existing conditions and the proposed project. Throughout the mandate, our engineers developed and refined a series of layout design options, adapting continuously to emerging constraints introduced by other stakeholders, such as architects, lighting engineers, and telecom experts as the project evolved.
Once the optimal layout plan was selected, it was submitted to a civil engineering firm responsible for preparing the construction drawings to be issued to the contractor.
Adaptability and coordination: key to managing complex, multi-constraint projects
This mandate, carried out under a tight timeline, required close collaboration between Intervia and ADM to develop the most efficient layout that met both the client’s operational needs and the identified technical constraints. It also demanded intensive coordination with all project stakeholders to ensure the design accounted for factors beyond mobility alone, critical elements for maintaining overall consistency between mitigation measures and the existing and future site configurations.
