Design of the Alternate East Drop-off 0041rea at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport
Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) sought to design temporary drop-off zones, connected to the terminal by shuttle services, on the east and west sides of Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL). The goal was to reduce vehicle congestion at the main terminal drop-off area, which experiences significant traffic bottlenecks and increased wait times for users. ADM’s objective was to decrease peak-hour vehicle volumes by 700 vehicles per hour. To achieve this, ADM enlisted Intervia’s traffic and mobility planning team to support the design of the East alternative drop-off zone.
