Design of the Alternate East Drop-off 0041rea at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport

Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) wanted to design temporary drop-off areas, connected by shuttles, to the east and west of the Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) terminal to reduce car traffic at the main drop-off area, which causes heavy congestion and increases waiting times for users. Aéroport de Montréal's objective is to reduce traffic by 700 vehicles per hour during peak periods. To this end, ADM called on Intervia's professional services in traffic study and planning to assist it in the design of the alternate East drop-off area.
