Securing the Area Around Schools in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie wanted to optimize the safety of vulnerable users around its schools. To implement its project, the borough intended to obtain funding from the Safe School Surroundings Program (PSAÉ) created by the City of Montreal.

Intervia was therefore mandated to carry out a study to identify and classify the safety needs of users in the vicinity of schools and certain parks in the borough. This four-month mandate had two main phases: develop a tool to classify schools based on their security needs and prepare an application file for the PSAÉ for a site selected by the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.
