Creating a Travel Plan in Saint-Sauveur
A complete diagnosis of multimodal mobility
Intervia developed global and multimodal portrait of mobility in Saint-Sauveur. Our team characterized the various traffic networks (transportation and active modes) and identified the main drivers of travel near the study area. Analyses were also conducted to know the dynamics and habits of travel within the town and identify road safety issues in the sector.
Thanks to the collection of the various data, Intervia was able to develop a complete multimodal diagnosis of mobility in Saint-Sauveur, taking into account issues identified regarding accessibility, road safety, conflicts between modes, active mode networks, etc.
Responding to the challenges identified during the diagnosis
After developing its diagnosis, the Intervia team set out to define construction concepts that catered to the issues raised during the various analyses carried out and participated in their design. As these facilities are located within the town, it was necessary to consult various stakeholders by launching a participatory process, to facilitate their implementation.
The various proposed interventions aim to meet the needs of each user's modes of transport, minimize nuisance by limiting transit traffic in residential areas, ensure the safety and well-being of residents, increase transportation networks around the main generators of development, and optimize pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure to promote the use of active modes.
