Building of a New Cultural Infrastructure in Laval
The City of Laval intended to build a new cultural infrastructure at the corner of Jacques-Tétreault Street and Boulevard de l'Avenir in the Special Urban Plan (SPP) area in downtown Laval. This project would bring together the future Laval central library and a professional artistic creation centre under one roof. The new building is in an effervescent neighbourhood where major travel routes for active transportation, public transit, trucking and cars meet.
The City of Laval mandated Intervia's mobility planning team to conduct a traffic impact study before this new infrastructure was implemented. This study also included the redevelopment of the street layout in the sector.
