Sylvain Felton joins the AQTR's Road Safety Expertise Table
We are delighted to announce that Sylvain Felton, Project Manager, Traffic Studies and Planning at Intervia, has recently joined the Road Safety Expertise Table of the Association québécoise des transports (AQTR). This platform brings together experts dedicated to improving road safety through knowledge exchange and the promotion of innovative practices in the sector.
The members of this table are actively interested in exploring various solutions to improve transportation safety. These solutions include modifying existing standards, improving the practices and tools used, and understanding the impacts of human behaviour on road safety. They also look at emerging trends in planning and mobility.
With almost 30 years of experience as a consultant and manager in Sherbrooke and Montreal in the field of transportation and mobility, Sylvain has carried out a multitude of complex projects during his career. These include geometric redevelopment studies, traffic impact studies, traffic signal, and road safety improvement analyses, as well as sustainable mobility plans.
Sylvain's arrival at the Table d'expertise represents a great opportunity to push the discussions and initiatives in these vital areas even further. His experience in transportation planning will no doubt enrich the debate and contribute to advancing our shared mission: making roads safer for all.
"Road safety is a topic that is close to my heart. My involvement with the Table d'expertise en sécurité routière is an opportunity, through me and Intervia, to contribute to disseminating best practices and promoting the culture shift that must continue in road safety,” says Sylvain.
We wish Sylvain every success in this new and critically important role!
